In 2000, long time beer enthusiast Leif Ryan noticed that the Australian beer market was lacking tasty and interesting beers.

Some four years later a dream was realized and Phoenix Beers was born. The company’s namesake, a Buddhist kelpie-cross, named Phoenix and his mate Leif began to bring the worlds tastiest and unique beverages - of the brewed variety - to Perth and beyond……

Since then, the name Phoenix Beers has become synonymous with the best the beer world has to offer. This started with Weihenstephan - the world’s oldest brewery - and world leaders in the art of science and brewing, and has progressed to a portfolio of more than 100 of the worlds most interesting beers.

Building such an Internationally recognized brand, Weihenstephan, within the Australian Beer Market was an important first step for Phoenix Beers. With current distribution to more than 1000 outlets nationwide - it has been a successful one.

Now with a portfolio of premium beers from England, Belgium, Germany, Canada, Croatia and even ciders from Normandy, Phoenix Beers looks forward to a successful future, full of wonderful, full flavoured beers and ciders from around the globe.
