In 2006 the amalgamation of two of Britain’s most respected breweries created Wells and Young’s. Charles Wells Ltd has successfully combined 125 years of brewing and pub retailing with a genuine spirit of innovation and enterprise. Young's Ram Brewery in Wandsworth had brewed beer since 1581AD on the same site. Making it Britain’s -until recently- oldest site of continuous brewing.

With the joining of the two companies, the ageing site was closed and operations moved to Well’s Bedford brewery site.

Wells & Young’s Brewing Company Ltd is now a leading supplier of specialty beers in Britain and one of the top three brewers of cask beer in the country, with two of the fastest growing national brands, Young’s Bitter and Wells Bombardier.

They also produce the ‘World famous’ Double Chocolate Stout and a range of fine English ales under both the Wells and Young’s brands.
